Problem
Two ordinary six-sided dice are stacked on top of each other and placed on a table top.
What is the sum of the dots on all the visible faces?
Solution
On an ordinary 6-sided die opposite sides add to 7.
As A + C = 7 and B + D = 7, A + B + C + D = 14.
So sum of visible dots will be 2 x 14 + 1 = 29.
